What can be done for mosquito bites that really itch?

What can be done for mosquito bites that really itch?
I read an old request for information on this site and the answer picked as Best Answer. They were on Yahoo!'s home page a short time ago yesterday.
The miracle cure for itchy bites is onion. The answerer told the bitten person to rub the bite near a bit of onion and when the person picked it as Best Answer, she said that it really did work. I'd never hear of that before, but I'm manifestly going to try that.
use rubbing alcohol
Rubbing Alcohol!
Cortizone cream, and a band-aid if it's on a child who will pick at it.
I got similar to 8,000 of them.
Try putting an "X" mark on them near your nail kinda kill the itch for a little. Or try getting some Calamine lotion or Cortizone. Or..you can do what I other do..scratch it so much that it turns too sore to gash anymore ;)
Take one benadryl ever four hours. You will probably feel a bit sleepy, but the itch will be gone.
Put some saliva on it.
Put some rime on it.
AfterBite. no thats not the begining of the sentence that is the signature of the chemical. Works wonders. You can also try
Calamine lotion (pink spots)
Campho phenique (sp) used this a lot when I be younger (20years ago) the active ingredients are within AfterBite so I would go near that.
If for some reason you do not want to use chemicals harsher than soap... ably then.. use soap. Seriously... Take a HOT washclothe near a bit of soap on it and lay it on the bites. The heat will approachable the pores and the soap will help cleanse. I follow this near ice to close the pores. I own also just used rime to rub over the bite.
I've also used the "X" mark made next to my fingernail.I don't know why but it stops the itch. Also Lanacane was what my Mom used on me when I be little and it worked great.
